My biggest production so far
I first wrote this song for an album I did with Raze called “It’s Not Just About Roses” in 2006. At the time I didn’t have the instruments and knowledge to make my vision for the track come to life. I used an organ to carry the melody and Raze added a Hip Hop beat. Now with many more instruments and more experience, I've had a big push from others to do it again, and this time I’ve given it the full works. It's taken me 3 months of working on it solidy to make it happen. It’s my biggest production yet with orchestral and vocal layers and it sounds totally different now.
It’s about those wonderful times when you’re hanging out on the club scene and chilling out afterwards in cafes in the early hours, watching people go by… and that’s where the magic happens.
I filmed the video at my much loved local cafe/bar - big thanks go out to them, it was a fantastic morning. I mixed in some footage from Japan for the city scene as well as local clubs in Birmingham and a clip from one of my favourite restaurants.
